My whole life story in a nutshell

Jul 18, 2026

2015-2019

Back when I was in school, I scored low in a maths exam in class 8. There were 30 computers in our CS lab, hence the school only allowed top 30 students to purse CS who got the highest score in Maths. My rank was 31st.

I remember that day in class, my teacher asked everyone to fill their choices. CS/ Commerce as a subject from class 9th. Almost all my friends opted for CS, one spot was left. Because one guy was absent that day. My teacher said "let him come back, if he doesn't opt for CS, the seat will go to the nearest candidate, which is Subhro" - I stood up, and I felt the weight. I knew I am not getting CS, that was the first taste of rejection in life, knowing how to handle failure and accepting the consequences.

Fast forward to 2021. I passed 12th grade, without a CS degree, I did not have a computer in my home, so I used to watch youtube videos of programming in Python and wrote the code in a diary.

2021

I passed one of the college entrance exam tests with flying colors and started pursuing CS from Academy of Technology

2022

My journey slowly begins and I started coding, attending hackathons, by the end of 2022 I was the first one to get an internship in my class/whole college. A first year kid who did not know how to code untill recently, got an internship, I was proud of myself.

2023-2024

The real motivation to pursue CS was to start a company that will solve a major problem in India and will somehow contribute to the betterment of this country. Sounds very childish, but I never did any work in hope of making more money. Later in my life i came to know a lot about purpose, GRIT, and being nationalistic. I found out everything around me is created by men and women who had GRIT and were unrealistic. The blue LED light in my monitor was created by someone whom I was heavily inspired with.

I was fortunate enough in life to meet some people at the right place at the right time that changed the course of my life. In 2023 me and my friends started ProjectX. It was a simple idea, we wanted to give people access to high performance computing on browsers. People who did not have money to buy macbook could rent our software through their old devices and run heavy applications on the web.

I used to manage, tech, finance, day to day operations, had some of the best years of my life during this phase. I travelled places across the country, and boarded my first domestic flight. Building a startup from scratch from a tier 3 college and village with the kind of societial pressure from primitive mindset people, family, friends etc is hard with limited resources. We fought, we still pulled off.

By the end of 2024 we still had a lot left to uncover, but managed to pull off handsome amount of funds ($30000). Build a basic prototype, hire a few people at the age of 20, pull of an absolute fight with college management to grant 100% attendance for the rest of the college(I only came to college during exams 😆). Everytime someone said no, I made the system work in my favour.

Entrepreneurship is a luxury in India, without a safety net, your life can get very complicated. The fear of failing is real. I quit the startup later due to various reasons and pursued my ML career and later hoped to start a company someday.

2025-2026 and present

I continued my journey in AI/ML, along the way I worked with many companies that built relationships from the beginning. I spent a few months at XRI Global, RegCore AI before finally joining Mattoboard.

My contributions in Open source led me to various conferences and 2026 was one of the best years of my life to travel.

Had a great team offsite in London with my team. I explored the streets of London for the first time all by myself, it felt liberating, I felt independent. It was a surreal experience. I went to the King's Cross Station and saw someone playing interstellar in a piano, and I could not capture it in a video, I will regret that. it was so beautiful.
